Michael was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Pace Academy and received an B.A. in History from the University of the South. He also attended St. John's college, Oxford University in the UK. He later attended Georgia State University and received his M.B.A. in International Business in 2003.

In 1991 Michael joined Learoyd Packaging which was based in Burnley, Lancashire in the UK. Based in Atlanta, he rose to be the Head of Sales Operations for the Americas and continued in this role until 1999 when he was recruited to begin a position in the telecommunications industry.

Michael joined MCI in 1999 in the sales contract and pricing department responsible for the implementation of international contracts and their continued profitability.

 

He was again recruited away to join BellSouth Long Distance in their sales contract department and continued in that role until 2007 when BellSouth was acquired by AT&T.

From this point forward Michael held various positions at AT&T and ended up his career at AT&T in global business pricing in 2021.

Since 1995 Michael has also been involved in the real estate development and advising clients about the Real Estate market in Atlanta. He continues his interest in real estate and is an active manager of his property portfolio.
